| Fire Weather Watch - Lake Mead NRA, Colorado River,NV side (Nevada) Posted: 22 Nov 2007 06:25 AM CST FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE COLOROADO RIVER VALLEY DUE TO GUSTY NORTH WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR THE LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA AND COLORADO RIVER VALLEY DOWN THROUGH LAKE HAVASU DUE TO GUSTY NORTH WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON. NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE FRIDAY AFTERNOON THEN STRENGTHEN FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. SUSTAINED SPEEDS OVER 20 MPH AND GUSTS OVER 35 MPH ARE LIKELY DURING THIS PERIOD. GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES LESS THAN 10 PERCENT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
