With a major hotel and the casino @ Lake Las Vegas closing as well, what do the real estate professionals think of this area now?

Do you think that Lake Las Vegas is to become a ghost town? I love it there but I am very skeptical about purchasing with all the bad news. Is it possible for the town to go bankrupt? What are your thoughts on this area for investment now? I am not referring to a condo-hotel but possibly a home. I love the fact that it is closeto the strip yet far awa enough to have some peace and tranquility.. after reading the news I have really been starting to think in a different direction.
