606 AM PST WED JAN 20 2010

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PST THIS MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY FOR THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM
PST THIS MORNING. AT 6 AM...A FOG BANK HAD ALREADY ENVELOPED THE
NORTH HALF OF THE VALLEY...AND WAS SPREADING SOUTH. THE FOG WILL
COVER MUCH OF THE VALLEY BY 7 AM...AND WILL BURN OFF AROUND 9 AM.

* VISIBILITY...VISIBILITY OF ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS CAN BE
EXPECTED.

* IMPACTS...DRIVING WILL BE HAZARDOUS THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING SLOW DOWN...USE
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
