THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING FOR ELEVATIONS BELOW 4000 FEET WITHIN THE MOJAVE DESERT REGION OF SOUTHERN NEVADA...NORTHWEST ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM PDT /1 PM MST/ SATURDAY TO 8 PM PDT /8 PM MST/ MONDAY. THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * EXPECTED TEMPERATURES: HIGH TEMPERATURES IN LAS VEGAS WILL LIKELY REACH AT LEAST 106 DEGREES ON SATURDAY THEN INCREASE TO AROUND 108 SUNDAY AND MONDAY. SIMILAR TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR ACROSS MUCH OF THE MOJAVE DESERT REGION.
