...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON...

A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS OF THE LAS VEGAS
VALLEY WEST OF BUFFALO DRIVE UNTIL 2 PM.

WINDS WERE INCREASING IN THE SPRING MOUNTAINS EARLY THIS MORNING.
THESE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD DOWNWARD INTO THE FAR WEST SIDE
OF THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY...CAUSING GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH AT
TIMES. THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO BE IMPACTED INCLUDE AREAS FROM
MOUNTAINS EDGE TO SUMMERLIN AND NORTHWARD TOWARDS THE LONE
MOUNTAIN AREA. A FEW LOCATIONS IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE VALLEY
HAD ALREADY SEEN GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH AS OF 5 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH AND...OR WIND
GUSTS OF 40 TO 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE
DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE
EXTRA CAUTION.
