The Nevada Contractors Association, a nonprofit industry trade group, recently named the winners of its 4th annual David Papadopulo Memorial Scholarship. The program awarded $14,000 to four students majoring in construction management and civil engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The scholarship was created in honor of David "Pappy" Papadopulo, a construction executive and industry leader, who tragically died on Nov. 6, 2006. He was 38. Papadopulo was vice president of Olson Precast Co. and vice chairman of the Nevada Contractors Association. The scholarship program has awarded $64,500 to 17 students since 2007. |
