GREAT BASIN ON SATURDAY IN RESPONSE TO AN APPROACHING AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE THAT IS MOVING SOUTHWARD ALONG THE WEST COAST. THE
COMBINATION OF A STRONG BELT OF WINDS OVERHEAD AND INCREASING
SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENTS WILL HELP TO GENERATE GUSTY WINDS

WATCH FOR THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY FOR AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF RAINBOW
BOULEVARD...WHICH IS IN EFFECT SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS SUSTAINED AR 25 TO 35 MPH WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH.

* TIMING: THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN 3 PM AND 9 PM
ON SATURDAY.

* LOCATIONS: SUMMERLIN...THE LONE MOUNTAIN AREA...CENTENNIAL
HILLS...MOUNTAINS EDGE AND THE COMMUNITY OF BLUE DIAMOND.

* IMPACTS: HIGH WINDS WILL MAKE TRAVEL IN THE AREA DIFFICULT
ESPECIALLY ON AREA ROADWAYS SUCH AS THE 215 BELTWAY. LOOSE
