Summerlin to celebrate holiday with parade

The Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade will hold its Independence Day celebration today with a Fourth of July parade in the master-planned community. The escort division begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the parade at 9 a.m. Those attending the parade are encouraged to arrive early, carpool, wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. The parade is free and open to the public.
