Wanting to buy our first house in Las Vegas, trying to relocate from Seattle. Posted: 17 Feb 2009 05:54 PM CST I am currently living in Seattle, Wa where I can't seem to find a good home for under $300,000. My future wife (Aug. 1st 09, she will be the current wife) would love to move down to Las Vegas. We have been there 10 times between us and love everything about Vegas. Out current income is about $95,000 combined and my FICO score is 675, hers is probably a little better. The problem is that we have a short credit history (both are only 25) and I have one ding on there for a roommate not wanting to pay the rent after I moved out from college. How do you think we can go about: 1) Getting financing to afford a house at a semi-low interest rate without putting down a 10% down payment (more like a $10,000 down payment ona $250-275,000 house)? 2) What is a good area that is to look in Vegas that is a nice combo between the nightlife and a relaxed area? Thanks! |
