SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 6 MILES WEST OF MOUNTAIN
SPRINGS...OR 14 MILES SOUTHWEST OF RED ROCK CANYON...AND MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 5 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...MOUNTAIN SPRINGS...MT. POTOSI...RED
ROCK CANYON...SPRING MOUNTAIN RANCH AND ROCKY GAP CAMPGROUND AND
HIGHWAY 160..

CENTRAL CLARK AND NORTHEASTERN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTIES...

AT 545 PM PDT HEAVY RAIN WAS STILL FALLING NEAR NIPTON ROAD IN
CALIFORNIA AND HIGHWAY 164 IN NEVADA. RUNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAIN
AND ALSO FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAIN ALONG HIGHWAY 95 WILL CAUSE AREAS
OF PONDING OF WATER AND NUISANCE FLOODING THROUGH 645 PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.

COUNTY...OR 15 MILES SOUTH OF BOULDER CITY. THIS STORM WAS NEARLY

SOUTH CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEVADA...

* UNTIL 645 PM PDT

* AT 452 PM PDT DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH
HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM NEAR NIPTON CALIFORNIA UP TO JUST SOUTH OF
BOULDER CITY NEVADA. THESE STORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...NIPTON.

MUCH OF THE RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAIN WILL DRAIN INTO DRY LAKE
BEDS. HOWEVER...NIPTON ROAD...HIGHWAY 164 BETWEEN NIPTON AND
SEARCHLIGHT...HIGHWAY 165 TO NELSON AND HIGHWAY 95 SOUTH OF BOULDER
CITY WILL LIKELY HAVE PONDING OF WATER AND SOME NUISANCE FLOODING
DUE TO THE HEAVY RAIN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
