WEST CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEVADA...

* UNTIL 515 PM PDT

* AT 215 PM PDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS HAD PRODUCED HEAVY RAINFALL OVER WEST CENTRAL CLARK
COUNTY. RAINFALL TOTALS EXCEEDING ONE INCH HAD FALLEN FROM NEAR
MOUNT POTOSI SOUTHWESTWARD TOWARDS SANDY VALLEY. THE HEAVIEST
RAINFALL THAT HAS FALLEN WAS RIGHT NEAR MOUNT POTOSI.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...GOODSPRINGS...MOUNTAIN SPRINGS...MT.
POTOSI AND SANDY VALLEY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.

IN DESERT TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. SEVERAL INCHES OF SWIFTLY
FLOWING WATER CAN CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
