MOVE NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY AND SPRING
MOUNTAINS AROUND 25 MPH. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO
OCCUR FROM THE FOOTHILLS OF THE SPRING MOUNTAINS NORTHEASTWARD
ACROSS SUMMERLIN AND INTO MOST OF THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE LAS
VEGAS VALLEY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF A TENTH TO THREE TENTHS OF AN
INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR
SLICK ROADS AND WATER COLLECTING IN LOW LYING AREAS. LOCALIZED
STREET FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.

INTO THE SOUTH PART OF THE VALLEY...WILL MOVE TO THE NORTHEAST AT
20 MPH AND IMPACT MUCH OF THE METRO AREA BEFORE MIDNIGHT. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS BETWEEN A TENTH AND A QUARTER OF AN INCH CAN BE EXPECTED
ALONG WITH OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.

THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM PDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY...

AT 322 PM PDT...RADAR INDICATED THAT THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN
HAD MOVED NORTHWEST OF JEAN...AND ONLY LIGHT RAIN WAS FALLING IN THE
ADVISORY AREA. HOWEVER...RUNOFF FROM EARLIER HEAVY RAIN WILL
CONTINUE...SO THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IN DESERT TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. SEVERAL INCHES OF SWIFTLY
FLOWING WATER CAN CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
