My wife and I are comparing Las Vegas with Phoenix for a possible retirement home within the next 2 years. The Summerlin area, including Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas looks interesting. We would want to have a house on, or very near, a good golf course. Does anyone have a rough idea as to what membership fees would be to join the various private golf courses in Summerlin/Redrock? Any recommendations as to any particular village withhin Summerlin/Redrock near a golf course? Also, is crime generally lower in the gated communities in Summerlin compared to the general statistics for Las Vegas which show a fairly high crime rate?

she is losing this property to foreclosure and we are scheduled to move out in 11 days. I live in Las Vegas and summer temperatures soar to almost 120 degrees and we cannot go without AC for 11 more days. My realtor told me to sell her appliances to cover the cost of having to move out earlier than originally planned. I don't think that is 'stealing" her aplliances. I think that she should be responsible for fixing the A/C as she is still under legal contract to do so as our landlord. The fact that she refuses, I feel leaves me no choice. What do you think?
