EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM PDT FOR CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY...

AT 1046 PM PDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVING SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE LAS
VEGAS VALLEY AROUND 10 MPH. RAINFALL TOTALS IN EXCESS OF A HALF AN
INCH ALREADY HAVE BEEN REPORTED BY SPOTTERS IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF
THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY. IN ADDITION...PONDING OF WATER IN POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED IN PARTS OF THE LAS VEGAS
VALLEY INCLUDING DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS AND NEAR THE VICINITY OF GRAND
TETON AND NORTH JONES. AS ADDITIONAL SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY CONTINUES TO MOVE ACROSS THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY THIS WILL
CONTINUE TO INCREASE RUNOFF AND WATER FLOWING INTO WASHES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED WATER LEVELS
IN WASHES AND FLOOD CHANNELS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS
WITH POOR DRAINAGE INCLUDING SOME INTERSECTIONS...UNDERPASSES AND
OTHER LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS FLOWS THROUGH WASHES AND STREAMS ARE ELEVATED
OR PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
